Hospital Coding As Part of a Transcription Job?
My sister recently started looking for a part time job that she could do from home. She has three kids under six, so finding childcare would be either impossible or extremely expensive. One occupation which does seem to have a lot of opportunities to work from home is the medical transcription industry. I actually had a few friends who did this type of work from home on a full time basis. My sister has a lot of transcription experience, but not centered in the medical field. Needless to say she’s going to need to take a few training classes, as the very least. Some companies will require you to be certified with hospital coding. There is a lot of information that you need to know off the top of your head in order to do your job properly. She’s looking into a few different courses to see which will best fit her schedule and time frame for finding a job.
